I'm back. Missed me?
Well, I'm getting back to sewing after a year. Since a lot has changed in the past year and since I have changed, I figured, it's time for a new blog.
I have missed sewing tremendously, and I have missed all my sewing buddies and friends.
With my sewing machines oiled, drafting tools ready and a new steam iron (how could I ever lived without one of these), I'm ready for the comeback.
My first garment will be a wool houndstooth skirt. I need something easy to start with.
On the drafting table: a sloper for a fitted shirt. I decided to draft a sloper from the scratch to brush up on my drafting skills and to achieve the perfect fit. I'll use it later with various commercial patterns.

Maja, it's great to see you again! I was going through some old papers last week and found one of the letters you sent me back in our pattern trading days. :) I'm looking forwards to seeing what you're doing now and how life's changed in these last few years. I know mine has ... and sewing has been one of the casualties. You're inspiring me to clear off the clutter around my machine and get sewing again despite excuses. Post pictures of your chic new skirt once it's made, please!
